As of 2 January 2019, Nico Dekker started in his new post of Group Sales Director at CED. Dekker succeeds Marcel van Dijk who had decided to continue his career outside CED. Dekker will handle commercial affairs for all European activities with a strong focus on the Netherlands.
Nico Dekker (53) is no stranger to the insurance sector. After completing his law studies at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, he held various sales positions at Nationale Nederlanden and PGGM and became Sales Director at Zwitserleven and Aegon. For the last 2 years, Dekker has been General Manager of Meeùs where he was in charge of an intensive restructuring process until the Aon/UMG merger in mid-2018. Dekker is appreciated among colleagues for his acute business acumen and his ability to manage the human dimensions of change.
His position of Group Sales Director at CED is closely related to this. Dekker: 'I am very much looking forward to building on CED's unique position in the market and contributing to the transition the insurance sector is facing with innovative, technology-supported services. I aim to ensure full customer satisfaction by getting it right first time and through all channels, all without losing sight of the human dimensions; or as CED itself says: digitally where possible, face to face where necessary'.
CED’s CEO Hans Coffeng is pleased with the appointment of Nico Dekker as Group Sales Director: 'In recent years, CED has positioned itself as a value specialist. Our full-service provision - from emergency assistance and claims management to repair services - contributes to settling claims faster, better and more cost effectively. Nico's commercial and management background, in combination with his experience in managing change processes, fits in well with CED's growth ambitions for the coming years'.
