CED’s quality systems are demonstrably well organised. This market leader in claims handling and claims management recently received positive feedback on its ISAE 3402 reports for correct, timely and transparent records. This month, after the annual audit, the company was recertified for ISO 27001, the international standard for information security.
“Clients and insured parties entrust CED with a large amount of information: personal, financial and often medical data. Our entire organisation is aware that customers and those affected must be able to trust that this data is 'safe' with us and will only be used for the purpose for which it is in our possession,” says Michael Blom, Group Manager Risk & Audit“. The ISO 27001 certificate proves that our Information Security Management System (ISMS) is effective - not only in terms of the technical security of our IT systems, but also with regard to the procedures followed by our employees, ensuring that this information is handled in a conscientious and secure way.”
“After the usual annual audit, CED again received the ISO27001 certificate which is valid until mid-2021. The certificate also covers the entire CED Group and all business units at home and abroad. Naturally, we also address the points for improvement that always emerge from such an audit”, concludes Blom, “but thanks to this certification and the underlying Information Security Management System, CED can continue to grow, innovate and expand and, at the same time, assure our customers that the confidentiality, availability and integrity of data at CED is guaranteed. That's how we like to remain of value”.
