As of 1 October 2018, François Goffinet will take up the position of Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) of the CED Group. In addition to the CEO and CFO, he is now the third director on the Board of Directors. With his appointment, CED is committed to an accelerated (digital) transformation of the organisation that began a few years ago.
Well on the way
Since 2013, CED has been building on its new strategy of becoming a comprehensive service provider integrating emergency assistance, claims management and repair services. New services, such as Repair, Damage Manager Home and Interim Professionals were introduced to the market; all this was supported by innovative digital techniques, such as CED Connect, the unique automated claims handling platform. This strategy led to growth both at home and abroad and, since 1 January 2018, is supported by a financially powerful new shareholder: BlackFin Capital Partners.
Value potential Both CED’s Supervisory Board and the Board of Directors are convinced that CED’s potential as a value specialist can be furthered by, for example, increased focus on process optimisation and automation. With the appointment of François Goffinet, CED now also has the necessary administrative power to achieve this. In addition to CEO Hans Coffeng and CFO Lourens Schouwink, CTO François Goffinet will give shape and momentum to the planned (digital) transformation of the CED Group. In this role he will directly lead our branches in the various countries, the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and the Project Management divisions.
More efficient and cost effective
François Goffinet (47), Belgian-born and bi-lingual, has earned his spurs in the financial sector. After graduating from Solvay Business School in Brussels, his career path went via KMPG, Bain & Company (financial services consultant and subsequently partner), Barclays Bank in London (Head of Strategy) and Euroclear (various senior roles). CEO Hans Coffeng is delighted to have this experienced third man at the helm: "With François Goffinet, we have ensured that we have both the focus and in-house know-how to make our services even more efficient and cost effective for our customers. As CED, we are continuously evolving in order to protect and preserve what is valuable to people.”
