For handling cross border claims, CED CBC cooperates with international partners. In Russia our partner is ASAP, with whom we examined opportunities and explored areas for potential new services. That resulted in the introduction of the ‘Yellow Card’: a service offered to Russian insurers whereby we can handle claims of Russian motorists who are involved in an accident while travelling abroad.

CED quality on the Russian market
Mid-September CED and ASAP organized a joint conference to present the Yellow Card to Russian Motor Insurers. Russian insurers seemed highly interested! Dimitry Oosthoek, sales manager at CED CBC, explains how this new service works: “Two different varieties or options are available: with or without Own Damage cover. Russian motor insurers can offer this new service to their customers. If a customer gets involved in an accident while travelling abroad, he can call an emergency number and gets connected to a Russian call center agent of RAMI, the Russian Motor Insurers Bureau. An ASAP accident manager will then arrive at the scene of the accident to provide roadside assistance and if another motorist is responsible for the accident CED will subsequently undertake all actions for a quick and successful recovery of car and car related damages. ”

Enthusiasm amongst Russian insurers
Dimitry Oosthoek: “Russian insurers are very open to innovative ideas and are creative in developing new products and discovering new markets. They are also very careful in selecting partners and highly value reliability, consistency and transparency.  Since these are also CED’s core values it is not a coincidence that the joint proposition of CED and ASAP received much appreciation.”

During the conference, CED and ASAP signed a partnership agreement (see photo) confirming their ambition to open up the Russian Motor Insurers’ Market for CED Cross Border Claim Services.
“In accordance with established Russian traditions, the contract was not just signed, but also provided with various seals”, concludes Dimitry Oosthoek smiling.
